La planta baja
Un centro de uso diurno para jóvenes en riesgo, fugitivos y sin hogar de 24 años o menos. En la planta baja, los jóvenes pueden conectarse con adultos que los apoyen, recibir artículos de necesidades básicas como alimentos, ropa y equipo para dormir al aire libre y conectarse con otros recursos que los ayudarán a terminar con su experiencia de falta de vivienda.
La planta baja se inauguró a principios de 2019 como el primer espacio de la comunidad dedicado a jóvenes sin vivienda. Este proyecto no hubiera sido posible sin la dedicación de los miembros de la Primera Iglesia Congregacional de Bellingham, quienes dedicaron su espacio, tiempo y tesoros a completar este espacio secular.

About The Ground Floor
A day-use center for youth ages 24 and under experiencing homelessness. At the Ground Floor youth can connect with supportive adults, receive basic needs items such as food, clothing and gear for sleeping outside and connect with other resources that will help them end their experience of homelessness.
The Ground Floor opened in early 2019 as the community's first dedicated space for unhoused youth. This project would not have been possible without the dedication of the membership of the First Congregational Church of Bellingham, who dedicated their space, time and treasures to completing this secular space.

Since its establishment in early 2019, thanks to the generous support of the First Congregational Church of Bellingham, the Ground Floor has become a beacon for unhoused youth. Key activities include providing basic needs and harm reduction supplies, enrolling youth in housing interest pools, offering navigation support for community resources, and assistance with education or employment.
Free 24/7 naloxone offered at our Ground Floor location.

How You Can Help
Ways to support include donating men's underwear and clothing, shoes in sizes 10-13, tents, sleeping bags, used smartphones, and snacks, as well as spreading awareness about the Ground Floor's invaluable services within the community.
Community-Building and Support
The Ground Floor also hosts various services, including DSHS outpost stations and free civil legal consultations, while fostering community-building through games, outings, and art hive sessions. One success story highlights the journey of a young adult who, after finding himself homeless, utilized the Ground Floor's resources to secure employment and eventually transition into stable housing.
