Program Information
This program is funded through the Washington State Department of Commerce as a response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Department of Commerce Emergency Rental Assistance program can provide short-term financial support to individuals currently behind on rent payments. To qualify individuals must: reside in Whatcom County, be between the ages of 18 and 24 years old, making at or under 80% area median income, and have at least one overdue rent payment to their landlord. The program is expected to end June 2023.

Applicants
Whether you are currently behind on a payment to your landlord or foresee financial hardship in the near future, contact us to determine Rental Assistance eligibility.
Applicants must be between the ages of 18-24 years old.
Landlords/
Property Managers
If you have a tenant between the ages of 18-24 years old that has missed a payment, they may be a candidate for the program.
