Landlords and Property Managers

Northwest Youth Services is seeking further partnerships in Whatcom and Skagit Counties with our valued property management companies and landlords. Units are needed for 18-24 year olds who are moving out of temporary, difficult situations. These young adults qualify for our Rapid Re-Housing scholarships. This program offers move in costs, rental assistance, and ongoing skill building and support for new renters.

 

Rapid Re-Housing is a quick path to independence for individuals facing housing instability in our community. As a landlord, you have the opportunity to end experiences of homelessness for your neighbors before they begin.

In addition to helping a young adult thrive, landlords receive a variety of benefits from 

partnering with Northwest Youth Services.

  • Community recognition. 

  • Active engagement in community revitalization efforts. 

  • Access to our community Landlord Liaison. 

  • Subsidy through the Opportunity Council. 

  • Rental skills training for tenants, including: tenancy skills, neighbor relationships, budgeting, education and employment. 

  • Information on Landlord Mitigation funds through the Department of Commerce. 

  • Active communication regarding partnership.
