At Northwest Youth Services, we affirm youth experience and autonomy, as we work together to foster collective healing and justice, in order to dismantle the systems of oppression that perpetuate youth homelessness.
ABOUT US
Northwest Youth Services is a non-profit organization serving young people ages 13-24 experiencing homelessness in Whatcom and Skagit Counties.
We support youth in identifying goals and building the skills necessary to reach their own sense of stability.
Northwest Youth Services offers housing, street outreach, help finding a job or enrolling in school, connection to mental health services, support for LGBTQ youth, restorative justice for juvenile respondents, and referrals to other services in the community.

Outreach is Northwest Youth Services' primary connection point for youth who are currently unhoused or disconnected from resources.
Our housing programs include emergency and affordable short-term and long-term housing programs for youth in Whatcom and Skagit counties.

The role of our Behavioral Health team is to enhance and expand mental health and treatment services to youth and young adults experiencing chronic homelessness, tackling substance use disorders, suffering from serious mental illness or serious emotional disturbance, or those facing a combination of these serious conditions.

Teen Court is a partnership between Northwest Youth Services and Whatcom County Superior Court. It is a youth-run court in which juvenile respondents are held accountable for their actions by a jury of their peers.

Employment & Education services at NWYS provides in-person or remote support and community resource referrals so that youth may explore, identify, and achieve their goals in these areas.
