When Kate and her husband arrived in Bellingham with only backpacks, they hadn’t anticipated facing houselessness. The Ground Floor, Northwest Youth Services' drop-in center, became a lifeline, providing them essentials like showers, food, and a safe place to rest. Through the transitional housing program HUSLY, they gained stability and eventually moved into their own apartment.
Today, Kate’s family has a brighter future, thanks to these life-changing resources.
